Urban Outfitters: Employee Floral Workshop October 2018

We were SO excited to have been invited down the the Philadelphia Navy Yard to teach a workshop for Urban Outfitters Brown Bag Workshop series. This workspace Urban and Anthropologie provide for their employees is seriously awesome, just walking around this place I am constantly inspired by the colors and textures here. We had a sold out crew of about 25 staff members who were eager to create their Fall compote design.

I really wanted to focus on texture for this workshop so we used a lot of natural elements like seed pods and twigs but brought in soft, romantic style blooms with the campanella garden roses. We used leftover textile swatches to wrap our twigs and added in bold, elongated copperbeech leaves for a bit of drama. I always love seeing how different everyone’s designs come out! We had some true talent here!

We’ll be back at the Urban campus in March 2019 for their next workshop series and can’t wait!
